  • When should I submit my bus transportation request?
    We highly recommend booking your bus transportation as soon as possible to ensure availability, especially for peak seasons and popular dates. Plus, booking early offers you more flexibility if your preferred date is already full. Once you have your essential trip details confirmed, submit your bus request online and let us handle the rest!
  • Do you offer transportation for non-school events?
    Yes! Along with school field trips, we provide public and private transportation services for occasions such as: Event shuttles Wedding transportation Festival transportation Fundraisers and charity events Birthday party transportation Convention shuttles Wine Tasting Tours And more! If you're in need of transportation for a trip or event, contact us today and we'll make every effort to accommodate your request. Please note that NCST does not offer home-to-school route transportation services.
  • Do you have a lost and found?
    Our buses are cleaned daily and checked for forgotten items. If anything is found, the item(s) will be held at our office for 14 days. Please let us know as soon as possible if you have left something behind on one of our buses so that we can coordinate its return.
  • Is food and drink allowed on the bus?
    To help us maintain our high standards of cleanliness and ensure a tidy environment for all passengers, food and drink consumption is not allowed on our buses. Additionally, possession or consumption of alcohol as well as smoking/vaping are strictly prohibited on and around our buses during any journey.
  • How many passengers do your buses hold?
    The maximum capacity of our school buses depends on how many students or passengers are seated in each row. We have vehicles to accommodate almost any group size: Full-Size Buses: Up to 84 elementary school passengers (3 per seat) Up to 56 middle school, high school, or adult passengers (2 per seat) Standard Buses: Up to 65 elementary school passengers (3 per seat) Up to 52 middle school, high school, or adult passengers (2 per seat) Mini Coach Bus: Seats exactly 30 passengers Want to know more?   • Do your buses have seatbelts?
    Some of our buses are equipped with seatbelts while others are not. If seatbelts are a requirement for your trip, please include it on your trip request, and we'll do our utmost to accommodate your needs.
  • Are your buses environmentally friendly?
    We prioritize sustainability and proudly operate a fleet of modern fuel-efficient buses that meet and/or exceed California environmental regulations in order to help minimize our carbon footprint.
  • What happens if the bus requires more than the standard cleaning after our trip?
    While we maintain high standards of cleanliness for all our buses, any excessive cleanup required beyond the standard procedures will incur an additional cleaning fee. This helps to ensure that our buses remain in excellent condition for all passengers.
  • Is there a cancellation fee?
    We courteously ask that you inform us as soon as possible if you need to cancel your booking. Cancellations made within 24 hours of the service date will be subject to a cancellation fee due to incurred cost.
  • I had a change in my trip, can I modify my booking?
    Please let us know as soon as possible if you have any changes to your trip, and we will address it to determine if your change can be approved. Note that modification requests made within ten (10) business days of your scheduled trip may not be accommodated.
  • Do you require a deposit?
    No, we do not require a deposit to secure your booking.
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    Check payments can be mailed to us at: NCST Inc. PO Box 4053 Carlsbad, CA 92018 For your convenience, we can also accept online payment via secure ACH bank transfer.
  • Can I get my driver's contact info for day-of communication?
    Of course! We understand the importance of being informed and prepared for your journey. Upon request, we can provide your driver's contact number before your trip, that way you'll have it readily available for day-of communication.
  • What kind of certification do your drivers have?
    All NCST bus drivers are CHP (California Highway Patrol) certified and hold valid SPAB (School Pupil Activity Bus) & California School Bus Certification. Additionally, our drivers undergo background checks, random drug testing, and in-service training up to 5 times a year to receive continuous instruction in accident scene control, student-driver conduct, and other essential topics.
